Performance Plus Racing took to the highways and traveled to Thunder Raceway on August 1, 2009 for what was to be Paul Whitehead's best night this season. Whitehead took the 21p to a third place finish in his heat race. With 21 cars making it to the main it was to be an exciting challenge. There was a lot of rubbing and racing going on Whitehead pulled out and held on for a 8th place finish. Paul is currently 7th in points for the season with NMMRA.
Performance Plus Racing currently holds 2 of the top ten positions with NMMRA. The #2 car driven by Steve Nix, currently in 10th, was not racing this weekend. Look to see the Performance Plus Racing team move up the points ladder at the next race in Show Low, AZ.
