"Mighty" Mike Colegrove Teams Up with Performance Plus Racing for Western World Championships



"Mighty" Mike Colegrove started his racing career at the age of 4, racing dirt go karts where he won 118 main events and three championships before moving on to mini sprint ranks at age 13 . Mike won numerous main events in mini sprints and won the 2006 championship along with rookie of the year honors. In 2007, Mike moved up to the sprint car and midget ranks racing for Ellis race cars where he finished third place in the points championship and rookie of the year honors and a 4th place finish at the Hank Arnold Memorial in the midgets. In 2009, Mike finished third place in the points championship with ASCA with numerous heat race wins and two main event wins on a limited schedule. Mike took the 2010 season off but is preparing for the 2010 Western World Championship behind the wheel of the Paul Whitehead’s 21p Performance Plus Racing.   

Owner Paul Whitehead is excited to see Mike in the seat of his 21p.  We will be combining crews to put together an awesome team for the Western World Championship.  With a new RSS chassis and a rocking engine from Performance Plus Engine Development it is sure to be a great weekend.
